Portable Monopoly Internal Light - Game Boy Advance
Portable Monopoly is working on a light kit for the Game
Boy Advance . The kit will include two sidelights that will be
mounted inside the GBA and shine light across the reflective screen of
the console. This light modification represents the perfect lighting
setup because it works beautifully in pure darkness and in bright
light. The light kit is expected to cost under $30 USD and will be
available in early 2002. The same method is used to light up the
screen of the Compaq
iPaq Pocket PC. Take a look at the image to the right and visit portablemonopoly.com

Nintendo Announces The Pikmin Flower
The Pikmin Flower is a real-life white flower with a yellow
center that closely resembles the loveable plant-like characters from
Nintendo's newest action-strategy game, Pikmin.
Nintendo and S&G Flowers/USA, the five-petaled "Pikmin
Flower," a member of plant genus Sutera, will be available to
gardeners, video game enthusiasts and consumers alike in April 2002.
This new flower breed, Bacopa Cabana, will officially be named
"The Pikmin Flower."
"This extraordinary marketing initiative to consumers
demonstrates that at the core of Nintendo is creativity," says
Peter Main, executive vice president, sales and marketing, Nintendo of
America. "We used a variety of innovative and unusual activities
to build anticipation for the NINTENDO GAMECUBE. Naming a flower after
a video game is just one more way Nintendo is 'seeding' creative
marketing."
